A Gentle Stay

A Gentle Stay is an interdisciplinary exhibition by Che Pai, presenting reflections from his artist residency at the Coachhouse1.

During his stay, Che navigated the meticulously and fantastically crafted space by Edgar Miller while also grappling with the challenges and difficulties of his physical and neurological illness. The residency provided an opportunity to contemplate the limits of his body and mind within a specific context: to live in a place and time where people connect with the world and themselves in question.

This documentation shares the culmination of his work, including still images from a set of photo installation that responded to the space, writings of personal reflections, and a video of live performance.
